Hi and thanks for visiting my site! My name is Gene Crout and I am a professional musician, teacher, producer and studio owner.
I began teaching from my studio, Audio Digital, in Arvada, CO in 2001, but I have been involved in music literally for my entire life. I teach electric and acoustic guitar, bass guitar, voice and audio production.
I began singing at age 5. I played Trumpet from age 8 to 11. I began playing Bass Guitar and taking private lessons at age 11. I began teaching myself Guitar at age 13.
I earned my Bachelor of Music in Theory and Composition, cum laude, from the University of Miami in Coral Gables, FL in 1991.
After the University I became the Audio Engineer for Jones Digital Century, a Multimedia CD-ROM developer in Denver in 1994.
I started my own studio, Audio Digital, in 1997 and have served clients from around the nation for over 20 years.
I began both teaching and playing on my church Worship Team almost simultaneously in 2001.
I obtained my Substitute Teaching License from the Colorado Department of Education in 2011 and enjoy connecting with students and music programs at area schools.
I specialize in giving my students exactly what they – YOU – want, be it learning to play their favorite songs, music theory, reading, soloing and improvising, ear training. I have been developing my music programs for almost 20 years now and am continually growing and learning with my students. I teach from an ever growing list of well over 1000 popular songs from the 50’s through today. My students stay with me for up to 10 years because I keep lessons fun, interesting, engaging and relevant as each student grows with their instrument. Check out the Guitar Programs link above for more specific information about each program.
Thanks again for checking out my site. I hope you will allow me to serve you as your Music Instructor!
Gene
